_Harrison County Search & Rescue (HCSAR) is a non-profit organization that was established in 1999 by Coordinator, Doug McCarty. HCSAR is an all-volunteer Search, Rescue & Recovery organization serving the citizens of Harrison County and surrounding counties as requested.

HCSAR members are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week and provides specially trained  professional volunteers to find lost or missing people in a wide variety  of environments and weather conditions, including waterway, wilderness, and urban areas.




MISSION STATEMENT

_The goal of the Harrison County Search and Rescue is to reduce human suffering and to preserve human life in locating and rescuing lost persons.  As members of this team, we strive to maintain the skills required for the of search and rescue missions conducted throughout Harrison County and to perform our duties with competence, professionalism, and respect for lost subjects and their families.
